Pearson regarding Walther RSHA SS PP and PPK pistols. In the course of the last number of months I have been visiting and corresponding with Mr. He no longer is a member of NAPCA and is not on the internet so I told him I would be happy to post this great information for him. I am posting this information for John Pearson (longtime Walther and vintage WW II era pistol collector). It is also marked in ink inside the flap with two other Walther pistol serial numbers (2999744K and 199487) over the name Otto Hartel.My dear vintage pistol collector friends, It is also accompanied with a standard brown leather holster that is stamped inside the flap: 'WALTHER PPK' and with EH D.R.G.M./Cross Rifle proof of the Albrecht kind factory. The belt is unmarked however, the back side of the buckle has the cast in markings of 'RZM/M4/39'. As noted, this rare pistol is complete with an original brown leather party leader belt and a gold colored party leader belt buckle. The pistol has a 60 degree safety lever, cartridge indicator pin, and lanyard loop on the bottom of the frame. PPK.' The pistol is stamped with the pre-war commercial 'Crown/N' proofmarks on the right side of the slide, the frame in the chamber area and again on the front edge of the muzzle. The left side of the slide is has the Walther Banner/factory legend followed by the caliber in two lines with the designation 'Mod.

The grips are the same, one-piece wraparound style made from the same mottled brown plastic material as the standard grips however, these have the large distinctive Nazi eagle clutching a Swastika encircled by a wreath molded into the each side of the grip, with the balance having the same impressed checkering. Although this example is slightly higher than the noted serial number range, it still appears to be an original Party Leader PPK, as it has the high polish, Walther commercial blue finish.

This series of Party Leader Walther PPK pistols are most often found in the serial number range of 850,000 to 935,000 and again in the 174,000K to 234,965K serial number range. With these special Party Leader grips installed they were officially known as the 'Honor Weapon' of the Political Leaders as they were only presented to high ranking Nazi officers of the NSDAP for meritorious service to the Nazi Party.
